With state of the art racing technology, slender lines and a stylish and contemporary décor, sailing yacht State of Grace well suits her name. At 39.4 metres, S/Y State of Grace was launched in 2013 as the first of a new series of fast cruising yachts from Perini Navi, in collaboration with leading naval architect, Ron Holland.
Sporting a 1,192sqm sail plan, carbon fibre rigging and a lifting keel, State of Grace is a yacht born and bred for performance. She’s built for luxury too, however, boasting a stunning interior of walnut and maple, and a split-level salon that drops down into a spacious seating area and dining room. This sunken area is lit by an expansive skylight, which gives it an unexpected sense of roominess for a yacht with such sleek lines.
State of Grace is a triumph in rich timber tones: muted furnishings of earthy purples and greens and crisp white linens, occasionally lifted with a splash of yellow from an armchair or a Ralph Lauren carbon fibre chair in gleaming black. Black and white photographs and interesting sculptures enhance the clean, modern design.
The yacht’s interior has some magnificent features, most impressive of which is the owner’s cabin, where there is a private gym, fold-down massage bed, and a Turkish hammam. The gym evokes the image of a Swedish sauna, decorated in rich golden tones of wood; yet a porthole adds the nautical touch with reflections of the water dancing across the ceiling. The yacht comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests in four elegant cabins, with a master suite, two queen-size doubles and a convertible twin cabin with extra Pullman bunk.
The special features continue on deck, with a fantastic entertaining and dining space in the cockpit. With a removable Bimini awning and adjustable seating arrangements, this space is extremely versatile – whether hosting a sophisticated meal, a casual family breakfast, or a glittering cocktail and canapé party under the stars. The yacht also has a reverse transom that folds out to become a teak staircase and swim platform, while fishing enthusiasts will delight in the fishing chair for deep-sea fishing.
There is plenty of space on deck to find a space to relax, and the yacht’s exceptional use of sailing technology means that it takes just a small crew to sail her, leaving them free to ensure the guests are having the best time of their lives.
S/Y State of Grace will be exhibited at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show 2015 from the 4th to 10th of December. Please contact Y.CO to organise a viewing of this exceptional yacht for charter.
State of Grace is available for winter charter in the Bahamas and Caribbean starting from 115,000 USD/Week and during the Mediterranean summer for 110,000 EUR/week.
