”Making it personal” with Aster Cucine


An informal Trend Talk was recently organised at the Brands International showroom in San Gwann, with the aim of bringing innovative products and solutions at the forefront of the industry.

Throughout the evening, the spotlight was on Aster Cucine. Export Sales Director Pietro De Riso, presented Aster’s unique approach to kitchen design, with particular emphasis on every client’s opportunity to make it personal and achieve a unique, dream kitchen. Customisation is taken to a new level with Aster and knows no limits. Things are taken just a little bit further, mixing things up by adding a touch of the unexpected and a hint of magic. This is made possible through innovative, authentic materials such as reclaimed and precious wood, leathers, gold leaf, mirrors, stone and a whole array of lacquers, as well as innovative features such as higher than usual base cabinets, lower plinths, customised cabinetry to fit American size appliances, sliding islands, clam cover worktop and rotating & extractible tops.




“Making it personal” is all about interpreting different design moods, and that is why Aster presents 5 completely different moods – traditional, modern, transitional, factory and luxury glam. The trend towards the industrial chic look and lifestyle is strong – upcycling takes centre stage and old materials are unconventially mixed with newer styles and technology to create something uniquely functional. In the new Factory model, Corten oxidized steel is combined with reclaimed wood, stone, aged surfaces and gloss lacquered finishes; blackboards with unpolished wood and aging iron shelves in stark contrast to shiny new technology; wire mesh fronts teamed with burnished iron handles. Surfaces with sophisticated finishes blend with raw materials, and bookshelves are used as room partitions or storage units. The essence of Factory is evolution – a contemporary answer to today’s living interiors, re-writing and re-purposing old abandoned urban spaces.
